Have a Proper Good Valentine’s Day

It’s the month of love, so here’s how to have a ‘Proper Good’ Valentine’s Day this year with your loved one, friends, family or even to show love to yourself!

Here’s some fantastic things to get up to, which are equally as fantastic for the community. All of these businesses positively contribute to Wigan and Leigh borough. So take a look at what’s on offer, and celebrate Valentine’s Day whilst making a difference to your home town. 

Watch the romance classic The BodyGuard at Leigh Film Factory

It’s the 30th anniversary of this film, so grab some snacks and head down at 7pm, on Saturday, February 11.

Enjoy a Valentine’s Day themed Boogie Night with More Than Words CIC 

Dance the night away at the monthly inclusive disco, it is aimed primarily at young people and adults aged 18 and over with disabilities and/or autism. Snacks and drinks are available to purchase, and guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol. This event is taking place between 6:30-9:30pm on Wednesday, February 15. 

Boogie Nights are £5 per person and (PAs/support workers get in free). Tickets are sold on the night.

Enjoy a coffee and snacks at Complete Kindness CIC

Treat you and your Valentine to a coffee and a good chat. They are open 10am-2:30pm. 

Take part in an art workshop or 1-1 sessions with Heart Communities CIC

Located in Leigh Spinners Mill, see what creative workshops are on offer.
